Why study Chinese Convention：eating

There are many conventions in China like Chinese spring festival; Chinese wedding; or Chinese funeral. It seems that all Chinese conventions might be applied in the Chinese low-budget comedy film to make the story interesting by using some methods. But my time is limited, so I just choose very typical cases to study. I would like talk about Chinese eating because that The notion of "Food is the first thing for people," is the most important and essential idea in Chinese Civilization Life (Bo Chai, 2000). However, Chinese eating is also involved in some other Chinese conventions, such as  Chinese festivals, Chinese wedding, or Chinese funeral. So Chinese eating is also the most popular convention in China. That is why I decided to study Chinese eating into the Low-budget comedy film rather than others.
